Villa Rentals on South Carolinas Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island is a vacation destination for over two million people each year. While the beaches and facilities are still not crowded on this large island, vacationers value their time, and want a truly restful experience. Many times, vacationers want more room, more amenities, or more privacy than is available in a rented room or small condo. Villa rentals fill the needs of the larger family or travel group, the group that would like a more comfortable and longer stay, or the visitor who wants the luxury offered by a stand-alone villa. Villas are the accommodation of choice for two thirds of island visitors.

Hilton Head villa rentals are available on all parts of this South Carolina barrier island. Many of the residential plantations have such facilities for rent, as well as those offered by private owners. Some villas have ocean views, while others are near one of the many golf courses on the island. Many are scattered in existing exclusive communities, giving stability to the neighborhoods as locals live next to vacationers.

These villas come fully furnished and decorated. Villas can be cozy two-bedroom, two-bath cottages, mid-sized three- or four-bedroom homes, or spacious seven- to nine-bedroom mansions. Linens and kitchen utensils, as well as laundry facilities, home electronics, and internet access are available. Many times, the villas will have private yards, spas, or hot tubs. More up-scale villas come with their own cook and staff.

Prices for the rental villas vary according to size and location on the island. A villa will be more economical for a family than a hotel room as well. In the peak season, a family could save several hundred dollars in rent by choosing a villa. Also, off-season rental can be as much as 30% less than during the peak summer season. In the winter, a small villa can rent for $1,000 a month. Hilton Head villa rentals are a realistic option all year long.

Hilton Head Rentals Info provides detailed information on Hilton Head vacation rentals, condo rentals, rental homes, villa rentals, and oceanfront rentals. Hilton Head Rentals Info is the sister site of Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals Web.

Petitioning for Your Needs

Human beings are blessed with a unique gift: the gift of prayer or petition to the Infinite for our needs. A religious person would call it prayer; others may call it petition or meditation. There is a clear distinction between petition and meditation, however. Meditation is generally a passive process, but in a petition, we actively communicate with the Infinite Source. The word "petition" itself conveys the significance of the process. In human law, once a suit is filed or a legal proceeding is initiated, certain processes are put in motion. Regardless of who we are or our station in life, the legal process takes its course.

Natural laws operate the same way, no matter who triggers them. As soon as we petition for our needs, we put into motion certain natural processes that will bring about the manifestation of what we petitioned for.

If justified and done properly, petitions are always granted - always. Petitions are granted not on the basis of our religious beliefs or affiliations nor on the basis of righteousness or unrighteousness. Petitions can be conscious or unconscious. For the majority of us, our unconscious petitions are granted more often than our conscious ones.

Why are our unconscious petitions granted more often? The answer is simply that in our conscious petitions - due to ignorance, lack of clear thought, superstition, or unconscious behavior - we tend to contradict ourselves and therefore prevent our petitions from becoming alive and manifesting the things we petitioned for. To me there is no contradiction between the terms "granting of petitions" and "manifesting our desires." If we create something that does not contradict cosmic laws, it manifests (and can be said to be granted) in accordance with those laws. And petitions that do contradict these laws are either returned to the sender or ignored - not granted.

For petitions to be granted, they must be done properly, to conform to certain conditions:

  • We must be sincere in our petitions.

  • We must be careful that what we ask for is actually what we need.

  • Our petitions must not be detrimental to others.

  • What we ask for must benefit not only us but others as well.

  • We must have the knowledge that our petition will be granted.

  • Above all, we must release our petitions to the Universal Mind for them to be manifested.

These conditions may sound philosophical, but personal experience will convince you of their truth.

Being sincere means we ask for something because we need it and not because we want to be like or better than someone else, prove something to the world, or satisfy our ego.

Determining what we need is probably extremely difficult for most people. As an illustration, if you have no car, no money, no job, and face an eviction, what would you ask for? We must reduce our need to the lowest common factor. By asking for the wrong thing, we risk not receiving an answer or receiving something we may not be particularly happy with.

We must determine what is most essential for life, and we must trust in the Universal Mind to provide it in the best possible way.

If our petition would give us, for example, power to avenge prior wrongdoing by someone else or in any way allow us to harm or punish someone, the chance of that petition being granted is very slim.

The more benefit our petition would bring to others, the greater the chance that it will be granted. But it is not up to us to say, "If my petition to win the lottery is granted, I will do this or that for my neighbor because he or she needs it." As noble as it may sound, we must be careful about making such decisions regarding others. As I have pointed out, it is difficult enough to determine what we ourselves need much less what someone else needs.

Manifestation is not always obvious. Therefore, knowing when our petition has been granted is not easy and often requires a series of personal experiences that build confidence rather than just faith. If seeing is believing, then experience is knowing. We must have confidence that our petition will be granted until we have had enough experience to cause us to recognize that it has been granted.

The last condition is probably the most critical. If all the previous conditions have been met but you fail to release your petition to the Universal Mind, you can be sure that your petition will not be answered.

We've all had the experience in which what we want does not occur, and then, suddenly, it happens when we least expect it. Wouldn't it be nice to want something and have it happen right then? It seems that it often happens as soon as you have begun to give up or let go or released your thoughts. Once we have determined exactly what we need and have met the other conditions, we must release the petition to the Universal Mind to bring it about in the best possible way. We must be careful not to carry the petition with us twenty-four hours a day to the point that it becomes a worry. We must petition, release our thoughts, and forget about them until our next prayer or meditation period.

Fear is another thing that often defeats our efforts. Let's assume you've identified employment as your need, and you are middle aged. Throughout your life, you've worked in a certain field and have become an expert in that field. You now find yourself unemployed. How do you go about petitioning for employment?

In this illustration, it is not easy to approach petitions without filling your mind with all negative thoughts: "Who will hire a person of my age," or, "Would it be difficult for someone of my age to find a job?" "How can I compete with all these young people?" "I can't do anything else," or "Doing so or so is all I know how to do." You may unconsciously fail before you start by placing a severe limitation on what you want done by thinking, "I have to find a job in my field."

To avoid sabotaging your efforts, it is important to reexamine your identified need. Ask yourself what being employed would do for you. Is it possible you miss your morning routine of waking up at a certain time in the morning, dressing and leaving the house for work? Is it possible you miss being in a work environment where you are constantly in contact with coworkers? Is it possible you miss the sense of accomplishment you had when you were employed?

After reexamining your need, you may discover being employed is not what you need; you need those benefits being employed brings to your life. You should then visualize yourself enjoying the very things you want from being employed. Again, it shouldn't matter if someone calls you up and wants the services of a very experienced person like you on a consulting basis. It shouldn't matter if a nonprofit organization needs a mature, experienced individual like you to advise them on certain aspect of their business. You shouldn't care how you once again enjoy the things employment brings to your life, and it doesn't have to be in the same field.

UNCONSCIOUS PETITION MANIFESTED

Here is a story of someone I've known for years. She was a very healthy lady in her sixties when she lost her job through forced retirement. She had worked in the same job for a very long time. Being very active and having financial obligations to meet, she didn't want to retire just yet. When I talked to her before her last day on the job, I asked her,

"What are you going to do now?" "I don't know," she replied, "but I know I have to do something."

Think about her response again. You can't get any more positive, more determined, and full of confidence than this. It doesn't matter if her positive attitude, determination, and confidence were driven by fear or need. I was very happy for her, because I knew then she was on the right track and her needs would be met. I knew then she had triggered an unconscious petition, and her positive attitude and confidence were an outward confirmation of a petition granted, whether she realized it or not. It's one thing to proclaim how positive we are, but it is another thing to live positively and let our positive outlook on life radiate and shine through when faced with difficult situations.

The next day following her last day on the job, this wonderful lady was back in the building where she used to work. She attended and sat through all public meetings as she did when she worked there. A few days later when I saw her, she handed me a nicely done business card with the business name, "I-Search." During breaks, she would stop to talk to the consultants, lawyers, and business people she had known while working at the place. She would hand them her business card and let them know she no longer worked in her past position and could do research for them. Who wouldn't want an experienced, dependable person like her to do research for them? This lady's story should serve as an inspiration to many. She continues to enjoy the contact with her former coworkers and associates while working in a different capacity and is being paid for it.

She may not have recognized it, but in her moment of anxiety, she obviously triggered into motion certain natural forces, which in turn, generated the ideas she needed. Ideas are just that ? ideas, and are meaningless until they are put in action. If she didn't follow up on these ideas as they occurred to her, she probably would still be waiting for the answers to her needs, and wondering why they were not forthcoming.

What would you do if you were in this lady's situation? Would you limit yourself through the negative thoughts of your mind? Would you recognize an answer to your petition when you receive one? For a detailed discussion about the subject of petitions, please see another one of my books, Seeds of Luck: The ABCs of Creating Your Heart's Desires.

How Does Prayer Work?

It is difficult to explain how prayer works scientifically especially when it involves prayer by someone far away from the one who is being benefited and the prayed for person is not aware of the fact that he is being prayer for.

Proper Prayer

You can get closer to God and have better communication with Him if you are earnest and make efforts to so properly. The way we were originally taught.

Who Prays When You Pray?

When we pray, who does the praying? Almost any knowledgeable Christian will give the same response to that question. In fact, it is a questions which separates the knowledgeable from the less knowledgeable Christian.

Are They All Healed When You Pray

Everyone in the healing ministry experiences failure when praying with others for healing. "Failure" in this connection is simply not seeing the healing happen that you prayed for. This article briefly discusses some of the causes and suggests some solutions.

Do You Have Enough Prospects To Make Your Numbers?

Several years ago I worked with a CPA who wanted 20 new clients. We came up with a great direct marketing campaign that brought in 10 leads per 1,000 letters. His closing rate was 10%, so after his first few clients came on board, we calculated that acquiring new clients was costing him between $500 and $600. He liked the numbers (one client was worth about $8,000/year), but progress was slow. We advised him to open the spigot and mail 5,000 at a time, instead of the 1,000 he was sending. It worked, and he acquired the new clients he was looking for sooner rather than later.

I do quite a bit of public speaking on direct marketing. One question I like to ask my audience is "How large is your database?" I get answers anywhere from 100 to 250,000. I worry about companies who don't have at least 2,500 names in their databases. Unless they're selling high six-figure products or services or have a closing rate near 100%, they don't have enough prospects to meet their numbers.

Database marketing is all about up-selling and cross-selling your existing customers and targeting prospects to find qualified buyers who are ready to buy now. It's a numbers game. The more you put into the funnel, the more orders that come out at the other end. Here's the formula for calculating how many leads you'll need this year:

Annual projected sales / average order size / sales close percentage rate.

Let's say your annual sales quota is $750,000. An average order is $1,000. You're a pretty good sales person so let's say your closing rate is 40%. Using the formula above ($750,000 / $500 / 40%), you'll need 3,750 new leads, or 313 new leads per month. If you're relying on traditional prospecting like shoe leather (networking, clipping "prospects" from the paper, telemarketing), you're not going to get "there" in time! The fastest way to build a client base is to build a database of qualified prospects. Consider these shortcuts:

1. Buy a targeted prospect mailing list. Review your top 20 customers and figure out the demographics that make them ideal customers for your business. Then buy lists of these prospects. There are 40,000 different prospect lists on the market; you'll need to find the best 3 to 4 that fit your "profile." You may find it faster and cheaper to have a mailing list broker help you find these needles in the haystack.

2. Capture targeted leads off the Internet. Rather than cut and paste, you can use data capture software to compile your own chamber lists, membership lists, yellow pages listings, and email signatures in an Excel-spreadsheet-like format, which can then be downloaded into ACT! or any database.

3. HP, the printer company, did a study that showed 80% of a buyer's sales decision is made by the time he calls you. Consequently, your goal is to make prospects call you. With enough prospects, you can start a drip-marketing campaign to educate and qualify them. Use direct mail letters and postcards to drive prospects to your website, where you can then capture their opt-in email addresses to start email marketing campaigns.

Do the math! Start building and marketing to your prospect database now, and you'll meet your numbers by year-end.

When Managers Play the PR Card

The payoff for business, non-profit or association managers can be a real assist towards meeting their department, division or subsidiary objectives.

Playing that public relations card means they've decided to pursue their objectives by reaching, persuading and moving those outside audiences whose behaviors most affect their organizations, to actions those managers desire.

Here's a blueprint to help them do just that: people act on their own perception of the facts before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about which something can be done. When we create, change or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and moving-to-desired- action the very people whose behaviors affect the organization the most, the public relations mission is accomplished.

In other words, here is the PR blueprint and tools you need to persuade your most important external stakeholders to your way of thinking. And then move them to take actions that lead to your success.

First step? Shift the attention of the PR team assigned to your unit away from communications tactics and over to a more effective action plan like the one outlined above.

You'll know it's worth the effort when you begin to see stakeholder behaviors like strong increases in inquiries, more repeat purchases, new proposals for strategic alliances or joint ventures, a fresh round of employment inquiries, or stronger contribution levels.

Lay it all out for the PR people who work for your unit, especially why it's a must to list in priority order those key outside audiences whose behaviors impact your operation the most. Talk about the importance of discovering how your organization is perceived by those audience members. Particularly because such perceptions almost always result in predictable behaviors that can affect the success of your unit for better or for worse.

If you have a large, uncommitted budget, you can use professional survey counsel to interact with target audience members and ask the important questions. "Do you know anything about us? Do you have an opinion about our products or services? Have you ever had a transaction with us? Was it a positive experience?" Or, members of your public relations team can handle this crucial task since perception, persuasion and behavior are prime concerns of theirs, or certainly should be.

While handling the perception monitoring chore, keep an eye out for negative comment and voice inflections. Especially watch for inappropriate assumptions, misconceptions, inaccuracies, rumors and clearly negative attitudes.

Once you collect these data, you're ready to establish your public relations goal. For example, torpedo those false assumptions, turn those misconceptions around, or correct that unfortunate inaccuracy.

The goal by itself is not much use without a strategy to show you how to reach it. As luck would have it, there are just three strategies available in the perception and opinion game: create perception/opinion where there simply isn't any, change the existing perception, or reinforce it. Makes things simple, but be sure the strategy you select is an obvious fit with your new goal.

The meat on this bone is the actual message you will prepare should the perceptions you discovered require some alteration. This is not a simple writing job and the very best writing talent on your PR team will be required. The message must be both persuasive AND compelling. It must be very clear as to what is being corrected and why. Factual support, of course, must be above challenge if your message is to be believable as it works to alter perception in your direction.

And now to the easy part of this public relations problem solving sequence ? getting that message to the right eyes and ears among the members of your target audience. The main limiting factor will be the size of your budget since there are dozens of communications tactics available to carry that message. They range from emails, speeches and private meetings to newsletters, media interviews, brochures and group briefings. Just be sure the tactics you decide to go with demonstrate that they can reach the same kind of folks that populate your target audience.

You'll be best equipped to answer queries about program progress after you and your PR team again interact with those target audience members asking the same questions used in the initial perception monitoring session. Big difference in the two sessions? This time, all hands will be alert to any signs that the negative perception has actually been altered.

Want things to move faster? Add more communications tactics, increase their frequencies and take another look at your message to be certain it's really persuasive and compelling.

The good news is, when managers play the PR card, they concentrate on persuading their most important external stakeholders to their way of thinking. And then moving those target audience members to take actions that lead to the managers on-the-job success.

COMMITMENT: Teaching Children the Lessons of a Lifetime

It's been said, time and again, that for a child to learn what is most important, he must be shown the lessons through example, not through words. And, if we are to nurture certain traits within our children, we must first develop those traits in ourselves.

I've been teaching martial arts to children for a decade and a half and I've discovered something amazing about children - they want to learn what is expected of them. For all of the 'button-pushing,' resistance to your wishes and what-not, children want to know the rules and have a deep-down, almost inherent, need to "do it right."

Unfortunately, I've also discovered that many of the parents who bring their children to our programs live by two deep-seated desires. And even though they express their wishes for their child to develop more confidence, discipline, and respect - not to mention the ability to protect themselves from the dangers that they know exist in the world, they will almost always default to these desires, even though it means that their child may never develop these important traits and abilities.

What are these desires?

1) That their child is never angry at them, and,

2) that they never want to have to say "no."

Is this true about all parents? No, of course not. But it is true about many.

Even without these words being spoken, the message is plain and clear when it comes in the following forms:

"She doesn't want to come to class and I don't want to force her."

"Really," I say. "And why not?"

'Excuse me?", comes the reply. "I don't understand."

"Well," I add, "don't you make her do other things that she doesn't want to do?" "I'm sure you make her brush her teeth daily, go to school even when she says she doesn't want to, and probably a dozen or so more things every day, don't you?"

"Yes, but that's different," is often the reply.

"Different?" I ask, "how so?" "Don't you think this is important?" "Isn't it still as important today, as the day you brought her in and said she needed to be confident and learn to protect herself?"

Here's another one that my staff and I hear regularly.

"I'm not going to commit my son to a year (or three year) program. That's too long for someone his age. He doesn't know what he wants"

Again, my response is that the parent is missing something in the logic, if it's logic that's driving at all.

"Is your child in school?", I ask.

"Of course," comes the reply.

"So you do think that an education is important and will take a considerable amount of time to prepare your son for the real world?"

"Yes. I don't see what that has to do with karate classes."

"It has everything to do with karate classes, because this is an education too. One that your son won't get in school or out of a text book. And, what he learns here in the way of confidence, discipline, pride, respect, and the ability to stand up for what is right, will affect every other part of his life, for the rest of his life."

Again, I hear, "But this is different."

"How?," I ask. "He will be going to school for the next eleven to thirteen years, not counting college. And, I'm sure that you'll make him go, even on those days when he doesn't want to. You will have all the right reasons to explain to him why this is important, right? No sir, this is no different. It is exactly the same. And, if its important for your child to learn the lessons you brought him here to learn, it's less important whether he likes it or not. And, as for him not knowing what he wants, that's what we as parents and teachers are here for, isn't it. To guide, provide opportunities and to give our children what they need, even if it's not what they want."

The actress Bette Davis was quoted as saying, "If you have never been hated by your child you have never been a parent." I believe this because I believe that my job is not to be my child's friend, but to be his guide, mentor, and teacher for handling the challenges of life. If I don't, then who will? And besides, there's plenty of time to be his or her friend after they have grown to adulthood, had the same experiences in the world, and can relate on an adult level. There is a huge difference between being 'friendly' and being 'friends.'

To many, I'm sure that all of this seems harsh and many, I'm certain, have already stopped reading altogether. My point is simple. We, as parents and teachers are teaching your children regardless of whether we open our mouths and say the words in the lesson or not.

If we're to teach our children to do what's important, not just what feels good...

...if we are to teach them the value of committing to a worthwhile endeavor because it's worthwhile, not just because it's easy or convenient...

...if we're to teach them to not be quitters in the game of life...

...we must instill the lessons whether they like us for it or not.

How else can we possibly teach, and have our children practice, things like commitment if we never provide the opportunities for them to commit or allow them to quit because something's not fun? When was the last time our creditors allowed us to stop paying our bills because doing so wasn't fun?

Edward, the English monarch once commented in a condescending way that we have the troubles we do because American parents obey their children instead of the other way around. After a decade and a half of watching and helping parents to help their children, I don't know if he's right but I do know that, the parents who are most committed to their child's development, regardless of the daily whims of the child - this entity who is changing so rapidly that they don't want the same things from moment-to-moment, let alone from year-to-year - usually have much more successful adults to be proud of when their children grow up. It is those who commit to teaching commitment, and a hundred other lessons, who are blessed with a child grown to adulthood who can commit to themselves and others and who can be counted on to 'be there' when the going gets tough.

Can you imagine? What a world we would live in if all those we met were such a person as this.

UK Loans Guide - Channelising Your Rising Budget in a Productive Mmanner

Every unknown road needs a milestone to configure where it leads. Every loan type in UK requires a guide to steer through the loans market. The vastness of loans in UK is exhaustive. Loan borrowing in UK is growing by the day. Loan process has been considerably simplified leading to opening of new possibilities for money borrowing.

There are a few golden rules which stand by every loan in UK. First and foremost is figuring out the loan amount. It is like the preliminary step while borrowing loans in UK. Taking loan amount in accordance of your financial status is the key to making loan process a smooth sailing one.

Loans application

Loan application is the first step in the loans process. It gathers and record information about prospective loans borrowers. While applying for loans in UK you might require showing some documents. Documents would confirm your status as a commendable loan borrower.

Loan documents

Documentation is dependent on the loan type you apply for. For a secured loan or any homeowner loan, you property papers would be checked. Secured loans require you to pledge your property as a guarantee. Similarly, payday loans would require you to show that you have a current, valid bank account with regular income. Different loan are meant to cater to different needs and different circumstances. You would need to research more for your particular loan type.

Loan repayment

Every loan means repayment. Monthly payment for your loan is very subjective and usually dependent on the loan amount. Loan market in UK guarantees a veritable opportunity of getting a loan. While loan borrowing, it is fundamental to plan your monthly budget in order to include the monthly payments.

Loan repayment term

Loan repayment term is the time in which you repay the loan. A lot of your money can be saved if you plan your loan term. A longer loan term for any UK resident would mean that you are paying more on your loan in the form of interest. So, extending loan term is not always a great option. However, extending loan term as in remortgage could mean prolonging the term in order to organize your budget and releasing equity to start a new business, planning a vacation or making home improvements.

Loan interest rate

The phrase 'lower interest rate' attracts borrowers to loan type. Interest rate advertised with loans is in the form of APR. APR is the annual percentage rate. APR will show you how much the loan costs and is calculated by using the standard formula. It is expressed as a yearly rate of interest and includes interest, certain additional costs like insurance and fees associated with the loans. APR aid to compare loan types so that UK residents can espouse interest rates that suit their circumstances.

Credit history

Credit history is fundamental in the context of loans borrowing in UK. Knowing your credit history would help you getting fair dealing while applying for a loan. Poor credit history implies higher rate of interest for your loan. Credit history contains information like payment history from revolving accounts, mortgages and previous loans. It also contains inquiries from business when you have requested a loan, public records and collection information. The more you know about your credit history the more confident you will be while applying for loans.

Credit score

Another related term is credit score. Credit score is record of your credit history at a particular point of time. Higher the credit score the more likely you are to get complimentary interest rates. Credit score are divisible into grades which is applicable to all loans in UK.

A + credit score (580-620 or more) means very few or no credit problems since last two years and no delayed mortgage payments. A ? credit score (560-580) few mortgage problem over two years and one or two, thirty day late payments.

B credit score (550-560) connotes a fall in the credit reports.

C credit score (535-550) lots of late repayments. This means late mortgage payment that is in the 60- or 90-day range. This also includes bankruptcy or foreclosure that had been discharged or settled in the last 12 months.

D credit score (500-535) implies lots of missed payments.

Any credit score ranging from grade B to D would imply that you need to apply for bad credit loans. Though bad credit loan type is frequently available in UK they entail higher rate of interest. Credit management services can help you to repair credit. You can start by paying all your pending dues. Seeking professional help is recommended for credit repair and would provide UK residents with loans they require.

Loans in UK do not mean solving temporary financial crisis. It is a way to further your dream of improving your financial well being.
